cloud - What is s tenant in VMware vCloud Director -


i have problem understanding should tenant in vmware vcloud director. name "tenant" appears in form creating organisation vcd template (vdc means virtual data center).

until saw form mentioned above, thought tenant same thing organisation - entity limited resource quotas (similar in openstack, tenant (which same project)).

after research , communication vmware solution providers came conclusion that

tenant = organisation

in case of vmware software (e.g. vcloud director). terminology difference derives legacy - vmware had products before openstack , similar software, term tenant , multi-tenancy used.
