Auto/Mate Completes GM Parts WorkBench Upgrade
Auto/Mate Dealership Systems today announced that it has completed the integration of a new GM's Parts WorkBench (PWB) upgrade with its Automotive Management Productivity Suite (AMPS). The enhanced OEM interface allows GM vehicle invoices, and weekly/monthly parts statements to be automatically downloaded into the AMPS dealership management system, eliminating time spent on data entry of vehicle and parts inventory information.
"With GM's new Parts WorkBench upgrade, we can provide the latest Parts Shipment Information to our GM dealers, and automate the vehicle invoice process," says Mike Esposito, president and CEO of Auto/Mate. "The less time dealers have to spend on administrative tasks, the more attention they can put on sales."
The new PWB Parts Shipment module will improve dealer fixed operations by providing GM dealerships with information on the availability and shipment of parts through electronically sent parts invoices, as well as weekly and monthly parts statements. The asynchronous service pushes the data to AMPS on a scheduled basis. A batch mechanism on the GM backend application generates the parts invoice, which is displayed by AMPS in a user friendly manner.
The GM Vehicle Invoice module lets dealers automatically receive vehicle invoices on any given day. Auto/Mate receives the invoices from GM electronically, and distributes them to the appropriate GM dealerships' AMPS system, reducing data entry duplication and increasing efficiencies.
"We are very pleased with the work Auto/Mate has done on Parts WorkBench and Vehicle Invoice. As our newest IDMS vendor, Auto/Mate has been very nimble and responsive to our integration requests. These new and upgraded functions will greatly enhance dealership operations," said Jim Bement, GM's manager of global retail systems.
Auto/Mate's Automotive Management Productivity Suite is a robust DMS with over 20 integrated modules to suit any size dealership. Dealers get all of the tools they need to effectively and efficiently manage store operations, including Sales, F&I, Fixed Operations, Accounting, CRM, and Fleet Sales.
AMPS can be purchased and paid for on a month-to-month basis, eliminating the need for long-term contracts that often contain hidden charges, excessive third party DMS integration expenses, and mandatory upgrade fees. AMPS is offered as both an in-house and ASP solution.
