ADS Sports Eyewear Gets Extreme While Speed-Testing Motorcycle Glasses.

(PRWEB) June 15, 2005

Motorcyclists have traditionally purchased high-end eyewear based on little more than intuition and word of mouth. An objective ranking of these products was all but impossible to find. This inspired ADS Sports Eyewear to come up with a unique way to evaluate these glasses at very high speeds without endangering any riders or motorcycles. They had skydivers wear several different motorcycle glasses while performing a variety of aerial maneuvers. Their primary goal was to assess wind management around the eyes. Comfort, visual clarity, and fashion were also ranked.

The tests that drew the most attention were the ?head-down? tests that surpassed 200 mph. Skydivers were asked to exceed normal face-flapping speeds while video flyers captured them simulating every possible wind angle that could be encountered on a highway. The glasses that did well in these tests are sold on the company?s web site, http://www.ADSEyewear.com. Many of the glasses that did not do well are scattered throughout cornfields north of Skydive Dallas. The eyewear manufacturers with the most impressive results were Panoptx Eyewear, Wiley-X, Gatorz Eyewear, and Harley Davidson Eyewear. Most of the Panoptx and Wiley-X models are also available with prescription lenses.

ADS Sports Eyewear sells recreational eyewear for motorcycling, golfing, bicycling and running. Sales are generated primarily through their web site, ADSEyewear.com.
